Liverpool Leads Race to Sign €50m Argentine Wonderkid Franco Mastantuono*

Liverpool is reportedly in pole position to sign River Plate's highly-rated 17-year-old midfielder, Franco Mastantuono, despite competition from several European giants, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Barcelona.

The young Argentine talent, valued between €45-50 million, has become one of the most sought-after prospects, with top clubs keen to secure his signature. According to *CaughtOffside*, Arsenal and Chelsea have been closely monitoring Mastantuono’s development, but *Todo Fichajes* now claims Liverpool is leading the race.

While Real Madrid and Barcelona were among the early contenders, Liverpool’s strong interest and proactive pursuit have made them the frontrunners. The Merseyside club, under manager Arne Slot, is building an exciting squad capable of competing for Premier League and Champions League glory, making Liverpool an attractive destination for Mastantuono.

However, the competition remains fierce. Arsenal’s need for creativity in midfield could provide Mastantuono with significant playing opportunities, while Chelsea’s strategy of investing in young talents makes them another appealing option for the teenager's development.

It remains to be seen where Mastantuono will land, but his potential arrival could mark a major coup for whichever club manages to secure his services.
