The One Player Florentino Pérez Might Consider If Vinicius Junior Leaves Real Madrid

Real Madrid is focused on extending Vinicius Junior’s contract, which is currently set to run until June 30, 2027. The club has proposed a significant salary increase and a long-term extension, viewing the Brazilian as a cornerstone of their future. While they do not anticipate his departure, an enticing offer from Saudi Arabia could potentially change the situation.

As reported by *Defensa Central*, Real Madrid would only entertain the idea of parting with Vinicius if Erling Haaland showed a willingness to join the team. In such a scenario, the club might shift its focus to Haaland and respect Vinicius’ decision if he opts to leave. Real Madrid has a history of allowing players to move on if they no longer wish to be part of the project.

Talks to renew Vinicius’ contract began last August, but the player expressed no urgency to negotiate, opting to delay discussions. With three years remaining on his current deal, Vinicius appears comfortable with his situation for now.

On the other hand, Haaland is also weighing his future. While Manchester City is keen to extend his contract, the Norwegian striker values maintaining flexibility in his career decisions, leaving the door open for a potential move to Madrid in the future.
