**PSG Eyes Vinícius Júnior as Replacement for Mbappé, Driven by Desire for Retribution**

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is actively searching for a successor to Kylian Mbappé, who recently made a high-profile switch to Real Madrid. Reports suggest that PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is keen on making a statement following the French star’s departure.

Mbappé’s free transfer to Real Madrid this summer, years after initial talks, marked a pivotal win for Florentino Pérez and his plans to strengthen Madrid's future. However, PSG's management is reportedly still grappling with the loss, especially as the transfer did not bring in any compensation for the club.

According to *Sport*, PSG is now considering Vinícius Júnior as Mbappé's potential replacement, aiming to acquire the Brazilian star once his contract with Real Madrid expires in 2027. The club’s interest in Vinícius seems partly driven by a desire to "return the favor" for Mbappé's exit.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid is working to extend Vinícius’ contract well in advance. Although he has expressed his commitment to the club, Vinícius has requested some time, especially after his recent disappointment in the Ballon d'Or rankings.
