Florentino Pérez Eyes Nico Paz’s Return as Real Madrid’s Midfield Struggles Continue**

Real Madrid has been grappling with midfield instability following Toni Kroos’s departure. Despite Carlo Ancelotti’s efforts to tweak the lineup, the team has struggled to find a playmaker with the vision and technical skills to fill Kroos’s void, exposing a key weakness ahead of the 2025 season.

According to *Marca*, one decision now under scrutiny is the sale of Nico Paz to Italian side Como. The young midfielder has flourished in Serie A, earning praise from Argentina’s national coach Lionel Scaloni and even Lionel Messi, who described Paz as “fantastic” and hailed his maturity and technical brilliance.

Last summer, Pérez sold 50% of Paz’s rights for just over €6 million, a move now viewed as short-sighted given Paz’s rapid rise. With Kroos gone, the 20-year-old could have been an ideal fit for Real Madrid’s evolving midfield.

Reports suggest Pérez is considering rectifying the situation by planning for Paz’s return in 2025. The young Argentine’s growing reputation, coupled with Messi’s endorsement, highlights the potential missed opportunity for Los Blancos during this transitional phase.
